GIVEAWAY: Just in time for NaNoWriMo!

outliningnovelgiveawayLast week, I was thinking about different types of blog posts I enjoy as a reader, and Giveaways are definitely one of them.  Not only do I usually learn about a new resource or book I might be interested in, but there’s a chance I might actually receive the resource.  For free.

So last week, I determined to do (at least) one Giveaway each month.  And as luck would have it, I accidentally ordered two copies of Outlining Your Novel Workbook: Step-by-Step Exercises for Planning Your Best Book by K.M. Weiland.  Normally I’d return one, but when they arrived on Saturday I thought, “Hey, I ordered this to prepare for NaNoWriMo.  I’ll bet some other writer would love a chance to win it!”  And, thus, my first Giveaway was born.

The Product: What Will You Win?
Outlining Your Novel Workbook provides a workbook approach to creating your novel.  From the early brainstorming stages through scene and character organization, this workbook helps you set the stage to get organized and get writing.   It can be used with the companion book, Outlining Your Novel: Map Your Way to Success, or as a standalone resource (this is how I’m using it!).  The workbook version provides a summary of each technique at the beginning of every chapter, then expands on it through interactive exercises.  Each chapter is full of questions, tips, and tools to get you writing fast.  This book is a perfect prep tool for NaNoWriMo, and even if you’re not a WriMo participant it is an excellent resource for generating ideas and moving your story out of your head onto the page.

How to Enter:
Now that you’re convinced this is a great resource at an awesome price (what beats free?), you’re thinking, “How do I enter to win?” Here’s the deal…  There are two ways to enter to win** your copy of Outlining Your Novel Workbook, and you can do both!  You can earn one entry by simply commenting on this post (one entry per user).  Then, increase your odds and Tweet this Giveaway on Twitter and include me, @TheKatMcCormick, on the Tweet (one entry per user per day).  The more you Tweet, the more chances to win.  On October 25th, I’ll combine all entries and choose a random winner!  I promise to ship out your copy right away so you get it in time to prep for NaNoWriMo if you’re participating.

That’s it!  Easy, painless, and a chance to walk away with a prize!

Good luck!

(**Must be US resident to win.)

Weiland’s book ‘Outlining Your Novel: Map Your Way to Success’ is one of the few books that got me to thinking outlining. I’ve never used a workbook before, so it would be interesting to see if I could pair them for better success. 😉

Thanks so much for the giveaway! I didn’t outline for the last NaNo and it cost me – I plan to for this one, and would love such a great resource. Weiland’s website is invaluable!

  15. Not trying to double post here, and I don’t know if you have moderation on, but just wanted to make sure that I had a comment on here. I’ve been looking for an excuse to grab a copy of one of K.M.’s books.

I stumbled upon K.M. Weiland’s awesome blog some time ago, but haven’t had a chance to pick up one of her books. I would love a copy of this one!
