Welcome! My name is Katherine (Kaecey) McCormick, and I’m a writer, artist, teacher, and freelancer living and working in the San Francisco Bay Area. I love to experiment with any art form from writing to collage to jewelry making to get my creative fix!
I write fiction, poetry, and nonfiction. I also work as an adjunct English professor at a local college. In addition, I freelance (writing, editing, and design). Please contact me with questions about potential writing projects or other freelance work.
My background includes working as an editorial assistant at The Lindenwood Review, earning undergraduate degrees from both UCLA and the University of Maryland, and obtaining an MFA in Creative Writing from Lindenwood University. I am currently working on my MA in Teaching Writing from Johns Hopkins University.
My work has most recently been published or is forthcoming in Linden Avenue Literary Journal, The Red Earth Review, Literary Orphans, Right Hand Pointing: One Sentence Poems, the anthology The Dark Ones: Tales and Poems of the Shadow Gods, among other publications. Outside of the writing and art world, I’m a lover of vegan cooking, dedicated volunteer for humanist and social justice causes, and all-around spunky gal.
